Testing insect-based burger patties at Roskilde Festival

For almost 1,5 years, we have been working on a new product and now we are ready to reveal the first prototype! We will be serving our little revolution of a food at Roskilde Festival 2019.

The product is a type of minced meat alternative made from peas and insects. We have developed it in collaboration with Danish Technological Institute to find an innovative solution for making bugs into a delicious and nutritious main meal. It is possible to form meat balls, burger patty’s or even cook up your favourite Bolognese from the meat-alternative.

Due to the insects’ nutritional profile, the meat-alternative contains more protein than beef, it is low in saturated fat, high in fibre, B12 and iron. It also has more texture and umami than soy-based alternatives.

Our ambition with this product is to make it a joy to switch out meat from traditional livestock so it will be easier to have a sustainable diet.
